the Covid-19 virus confronts us with unprecedented challenges worldwide - both in business and private life.
We have reacted quickly
The Meat Cracks Group has proactively dealt with the "new" situation at an early stage, we completed our management tasks and implemented the resulting measures and obligations. We always follow the daily recommendations of the German Federal Government as well as those of the German Robert Koch Institute.
In our companies we have, for example, defined groups of employees working at different times and many can work from their home offices. Internal and external visits have been consistently cancelled and the extensive hygiene regulations have also been tightened once again. As a system-immanent company in the food industry, we are aware of our role in the overall structure and the continuous availability of safe food is elementary.
Even in this situation we are able to meet the increased demand for cultures and spices.
We stick together
Through close coordination with our departments, service providers and the authorities, as well as our proactive management and permanent market observation, we are confident that we will continue to meet the increased demand in the future.
After reviewing and evaluating our safety stocks, we have increased them as a precautionary measure - especially for critical raw materials - in order to bridge possible supply bottlenecks. We have also identified further alternative procurement options so that we are prepared for any eventuality.
